Terms of service
These terms are between MeetMyTutor and the tutoring center that signs up. Parents, students, tutors and staff use the software under the center's account.
Last updated: October 31, 2026
The service
MeetMyTutor is office software for tutoring centers that teach in classes: scheduling, registers, messages, billing, reports, and pages for parents and tutors. By signing up, the center agrees to these terms. Individual quotes or order forms may add to them.
We improve the service over time and may change features. If a change would take away something a center relies on, we tell the center in advance.
Accounts and sign-in
The center chooses who gets an account and what each person may do. It is responsible for what its staff, tutors, parents and students do with their accounts.
Keep passwords and authenticator codes private, switch on the authenticator app for staff, and tell us at once if you think an account has been misused.
Acceptable use
Do not use MeetMyTutor to break the law, to harass or harm anyone, or to store content you have no right to hold.
Do not try to get into another center's records, probe or overload the service, or copy or resell it.
We may suspend an account that puts the service or other centers at risk, and we tell the center why.
Fees
Each center gets one monthly quote in US dollars (USD), based mainly on the number of students, the number of locations and how much help moving in is wanted. Any setup or import fee is listed separately in the quote. Contract terms are set in the quote.
There is no charge per tutor, parent, student or login, and MeetMyTutor takes no percentage of parents' payments.
Outside services charge their own fees, paid to them and not to us. For example, Stripe charges its card fee on each card payment.
Payments from parents
Parents pay the center, not MeetMyTutor. Card payments go through the center's own Stripe account, which the center connects in Settings. The center sets what parents are charged and is responsible for its refunds, receipts and taxes.
MeetMyTutor does not hold or move the center's money.
Messages and consent
The center is the sender of the messages it asks the software to send. It must have the consent that email and text laws such as CAN-SPAM and the TCPA require, and it must honor opt-outs. The software records each parent's choices and stops messages when someone replies STOP or unsubscribes, but it cannot know what a center promised its families.
Tax and tutor pay
The tax rate on payment requests is set by the center, which is responsible for collecting and paying any tax it owes. MeetMyTutor does not work out sales tax by state, collect tax forms such as the W-9, or file 1099 forms. How a center classifies its tutors, and the tax and wage rules that follow, is the center's decision: ask an accountant or a lawyer.
Your data
The center owns the records it puts in MeetMyTutor, including its families' and tutors' details. We use them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy policy.
The center is responsible for having the right to hold that data, for giving families the notices the law requires, and for getting parents' consent for children under 13.
The center can export its records at any time.
Availability and support
We work to keep MeetMyTutor running and we back it up every night. We do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, and some maintenance may cause short interruptions. Any uptime commitment appears in the center's quote.
Support is by email, and we reply within one business day.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is, without warranties the law allows us to exclude.
To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and MeetMyTutor's total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the center paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending the agreement
Either side may end the agreement as the quote says. The center can export its records before it ends. After that we return and delete the records as the Privacy policy describes.
Fees already due stay due. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as data ownership and liability, continue.
Governing law and changes
If we change these terms we change the date at the top and email the center before the change applies. Using the service after that means the center accepts the change.
